Jewellery Manufacturers Federation
The Jewellery Manufacturers Federation of New Zealand (Inc.) is in existence to promote trust and understanding within the profession of manufacturing jewellers, and to propagate, with the trade and externally, manufacturers' views with one strong voice.
All members are expected to abide by a standard of conduct and trade practice that will hold manufacturing jewellers above question in all matters.
Delegates are appointed by the Federation to represent the profession in its dealings with Government, its bodies, affiliated associations, service suppliers to the trade, etc.
Our Aims Are
- To achieve, by mutual co-operation, a general increase in standards, good product design, and presentation.
- To lift the trade from "secondary industry" to "world marketing standards".
- To promote education within the trade in all its facets.
- To foster jewellery as an art form both within the trade and externally, in schools, art schools, etc, by night classes and competitions, etc.
- To continue to reform the apprenticeship system so as to ensure that our young trades people are given the best possible training, ultimately ensuring they attain the highest standards of workmanship.
The Federation is run by Elected Committees of Trade Members
Meetings are on a monthly basis to discuss:
- Members' queries and concerns.
- New developments.
- Ways in which the Federation can help the trade.
